REGRESSION MODELS FOR NON-CONTINUOUS DATA IN SPSS

TARGET AUDIENCE: 
Researchers who want to interpret and perform in SPSS statistical analyses, where the outcome variable is binary, a count or rate, or the time to an event.

CONTENTS: 

  • Binary logistic regression model for binary outcomes
  • Poisson and negative binomial regression models for counts and rates
  • Survival analysis (Kaplan-Meier plots, log-rank test, Cox proportional hazards models) for time-to-event outcomes

The course will be given in Dutch, but the slides are in English.

Both the click-and-point interface and syntax will be used to perform the analyses with IBM® SPSS® Statistics Version 26 (available on Athena).

November 16, 23, 30, December 7, and 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm.

Please note: The deadline for UGent PhD students to submit an application for recognition of this course by the Ghent University Doctoral Schools is October 16, 2021.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: 
It is highly recommended to have experience with SPSS and linear regression analysis.
