Proper Research Data Management (RDM) is becoming more and more important. Additionally, Open Science and FAIR data are considered as important aspects for conducting good science. Most sponsors of academic research require you to think about these aspects already in your research proposal. In the case of FWO research proposals, the data management plan (DMP) section of the applications enquires on how you intend to address these issues.

The aim of this info session is twofold:

• To highlight the FWO’s policy on research data management and data management planning

• Provide info on how to assess the five RDM related questions in the proposal stage. 

We will use relevant examples from the faculty to illustrate what the FWO expects from you!
